Brother Label Printer Settings

When installing a Matcher label printer (Brother HL-L5100DN, HL-L6300DW, HL-L6400DW or HL-L5210DW) you will need to ensure the printing defaults are set to the optimised label printing settings below.

To make these changes, navigate to Control Panel > Devices & Printers and right click the Brother printer and select Printer Properties.

Select the Advanced tab and click Printing Defaults and a new window will open.

Change the settings in this tab so they mirror the screenshots below;

Select the Advanced tab and click on Other Print Options to adjust the settings in the screenshots below;

Click OK and Apply to complete the process. This will apply these printer defaults for all users on that computer.

PLEASE NOTE - If the printer is hosted on a print server then these defaults must be applied on the print server preferences so they are applied universally.
